Raúl Briones Carmona

His training at the Centro Universitario de Teatro (CUT) of the UNAM, makes him one of the most versatile and best prepared contemporary actors. He stands out for his professionalism and forcefulness in each of the characters he plays.

He lists important titles in the industry, in participations for film and television. For the big screen, he has participated in films such as "Güeros" (Dir. Alonso Ruizpalacios), his film debut; "Los Adioses" (Dir. Natalia Beristain), sharing credits with Daniel Giménez Cacho; "El Hombre Búfalo" (Dir. David Torres) and "Estanislao" (Dir. Alejandro Guzmán Álvarez), in which he stars; "Luna Negra" (Dir. Tonatiuh García); "Fiesta en la Madriguera" (Dir. Manolo Caro); and "La Cocina" (Dir. Alonso Ruizpalacios), premiered at the 74th Berlinale.

His work has been widely recognized in the industry and by specialized critics. The film "Asfixia" (Dir. Kenya Márquez), in which he stars, has earned him a nomination for the Silver Goddesses for Best Male Performance (2020) and the Ariel Award in the same category (2020). "Una Película de Policías" (Dir. Alonso Ruizpalacios) is another of the titles that has marked Raúl's career, earning him his second Ariel Award in the Best Actor category (2022). His third statuette comes with "El Norte sobre el Vacío" (Dir. Alejandra Márquez Abella), in the category of Male Co-Acting (2023).

In television we have seen him in projects such as "Crónica de Castas" (Canal Once), "Club de Cuervos" (Netflix), "La Balada de Hugo Sánchez" (Netflix), "La Templanza" (Prime Video), "Los Enviados" (Paramount+) and "Mano de Hierro" (Netflix).

In theater he has participated in plays directed by Luis de Tavira, Daniel Giménez Cacho, David Gaitán, Mario Espinosa, Alonso Ruizpalacios and Alberto Villareal.
