Manya Loría has a degree in Performing Arts (UAQ) and a Master in Playwriting (UNA, Buenos Aires). As a playwright she has twelve plays premiered in Mexico and Argentina. She received a scholarship from the Fundación para las Letras Mexicanas in the area of Playwriting in the 2018-2019 generation. She was selected in 2020 by FONCA in conjunction with CALQ, for a creative residency at "Le Cube" in Montreal. In 2021 her book "Carne de cañón" and in 2022 her novel "El Edén, I.A.P." were favorably reviewed by the Fondo Editorial de Querétaro for publication.
In 2022 she was selected to be part of the International Playwriting Program of Teatro UNAM, Royal Court and Cátedra Bergman. In 2023 she won an honorable mention in the Dolores Castro national award, in the area of Playwriting, with her play "Pareidolia". She is currently a screenwriter, was writer of "Belascorán" for Netflix, recently finished developing a series for La Corriente del Golfo and a feature film for Dynamo. She currently collaborates with Metamorfina Teatro and directs the company "Los improductivos".
