Macarena Garcia

As a child she began to receive artistic gymnastics classes; a training that already in adolescence (at the age of 14) she combined with the practice of different branches of dance: from classical to funk. Carmen Senra's school and the Broadway Academy were the centers chosen by Macarena to learn how to interpret music with her body. With a special ability for show business, as a young girl she also received singing lessons from Nora Troyani and Rosario Cruz and, in addition, she has been dedicating part of her day to learning to play the guitar for some time now. Before focusing on her career as a performer and singer, Macarena García began studying Psychology, but due to the good performance of her castings she decided to leave the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; something that, for the moment, she has not taken up again, although she does not rule out doing so in the future.

She was thirteen years old when she got her first role in a musical performed at the Teatro de Madrid, "En el nombre de la Infanta Carlota", where she gave life to the character of Canelilla. In this area, also highlights his participation as a protagonist in the musical "High School Musical". From this moment on, he began to participate in the series "Hospital Central", "Punta Escarlata", "El internado", "Amar en tiempos revueltos", "Niños Robados", "B&B" and "El Ministerio del tiempo". She is currently filming the series 'La otra mirada' for TVE; she can also be seen in "Todo es Mentira", "Paquita Salas" and "Paraíso.

In 2012 she made her film debut with Pablo Berger in "Blancanieves", where she won the Silver Shell for best actress at the San Sebastian Film Festival, in addition to the Goya for best new female performer. After that, more titles like "Todos están muertos" directed by Beatriz Sanchís, "Palmeras en la nieve" directed by Fernando Gomez Molina, nominated for best supporting actress at the Goya Awards, and "La Llamada" directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi. Her latest feature films include "Que baje Dios", "A pesar de todo" and "Ventajas de viajar en tren".
