Luis Mariano García is a screenwriter and director born in Cuautla, Morelos and a graduate of the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos de la UNAM (CUEC).
His first feature film, Efímera had an important festival run during 2022, with a presence at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, the Guanajuato International Film Festival, the Morelia International Film Festival and the Sydney Mardi Gras Film Festival. It also won the Audience Award at the 24 Laughs per Minute Festival. And it is about to have its commercial premiere.
He has twice been a finalist in the feature screenplay contest of the Guanajuato International Film Festival, as well as in the Fernando Mendez Horror Screenplay Contest. He has also been a beneficiary of IMCINE's Stimulus for Creators. He has also written and developed projects for important companies such as Cinépolis Producción, HBO Latinoamérica and TV Azteca. And most recently, he collaborated in the script of the feature film Mal de Ojo.
