Thanks to his undoubted talent, this actor has been the talk of the town. The reason? His great performance as Juan Gabriel, El Divo de Juárez, in the series "Hasta que te Conocí". Julián Román does not take a false step and his footprints are being left on the big and small screen at an international level.
The actor, originally from Colombia, won the Special Jury Prize for Best Actor for his role as Jairo in the film "Retratos en un Mar de Mentiras" (2010), by director Carlos Gaviria, at the 14th edition of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival in the United States.
Committed to his work, proactive, audacious and sensitive to the characters he plays, Julian Roman began his training taking workshops at the Escuela Distrital de Teatro Luis Enrique Osorio and then took drama, space management and body expression at the Teatro Popular de Bogotá TPB and at the Laboratorio de Investigación Artística y Teatral Actuemos, with the teacher Edgardo Roman.
She made her debut in 1988 in Sergio Cabrera's Colombian film "Técnicas de Duelo: Una Cuestión de Honor", which was followed by television series such as "Cuando Quiero Llorar no Lloro" (1989) and "Vampiromania" (1991).
However, his sights were still set on cinema and he again worked with Cabrera in "Águilas no Cazan Moscas" (1994) and "Golpe de Estadio" (1998). Television was captivated by the performances of the Colombian, who embarked on a well-established career in this highly coveted field, through which he reached a vast audience that recognized his professionalism on screen. In film, he was part of Luis Alberto Restrepo's Colombian drama "La Primera Noche" (2003), alongside Carolina Lizarazo, John Álex Toro and Hernán Méndez; as well as "Tres Hombres Tres Mujeres" (2003), by Carlos Hernández, "El Trato" (2005), by Francisco Norden and "La Semilla del Silencio" (2015). He also participated in plays of the Teatro Popular de Bogotá TPB, such as "La Increíble y Triste Historia de la Cándida Eréndira", "Crónica de una Muerte Anunciada" and "La Fiesta del Chivo" at the Teatro Nacional; as well as in productions of Teatro Petrabajo under the direction of Fabio Rubiano.
