Jordi Mollá

Barcelona-born Jordi Mollà is one of the most complete actors to be found on the current scene. He has gone from acting to directing, from this to writing and painting, to return again to acting. Thanks to his overwhelming personality, the five-time Goya Award nominee attracted the attention of the late director Bigas Luna in the early 1990s and he cast him in "Jamón jamón" (1992), that classic Spanish film that put Mollà's name in the spotlight of the film and entertainment industry. The contracts began to roll in and his name became synonymous with talent, acting ability and acting quality. He was seen in "Historias de la puta mili" (1994), "Los hombres siempre mienten" (1995), "La flor de mi secreto" (1995), "Nadie conoce a nadie" (1999), "Son de mar" (2001) and "No somos nadie", a 2002 film that, in addition to starring, marked his directorial debut.

In 2001 he worked with Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz in "Inhala", a film that opened the doors to Hollywood, where he has worked in "The Poplar" (2004), with Dennis Quaid and Billy Bob Thornton, "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" (2007), with Cate Blanchet, "Che: Guerrilla" (2008), "Ant-man" (2015), with Paul Rudd, and "In the Heart of the Sea" (2015), with Chris Hemsworth. In 2007 he was part of the Mexican film "Sultanes del sur", where he shared credits with Ana de la Reguera, Tony Dalton and Silverio Palacios. In 2015 she returned to our country to film "Treintona, soltera y fantástica", a film that explores the comedy genre and stars Bárbara Mori. With almost 30 years of artistic career, which began in the late 80's in plays and television programs, Jordi Mollà has nearly 80 projects that make it clear that versatility is one of his calling cards. Among his most recent works are Alberto Rondalli's "Agadah", Terry Gilliam's "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote", Jodi Scurfield's "Speed Kills" with John Travolta and Giga Agladze's "The Other Me" with Jim Sturgess.
