Joe Rendón / Director

Director and writer. In 2014 he developed his first series "Poder S.A." for HBOLatino as head writer, produced by Filmadora. He has been director and head writer of projects such as "Dogma" and "Mita y Mita", both for Televisa / Blim. He also participated as director in "Descontrol" for Lemon Studios, premiered on Univision USA in 2018. The same year, he co-produced and directed the play "Cinema 35" (The Flick by Annie Parker), Pulitzer Prize for theater in 2014 and first staging in Spanish, receiving ACPT nomination for Adaptation and Breakthrough Actor. In 2017 he filmed his debut feature film "Como Novio de Pueblo" for Warner Bros. for HBO under the production of Leonardo Zimbrón, becoming one of the 10 highest grossing films of the year. He has also participated in the sketch comedy series "Backdoor" for Comedy Central, released on YouTube and available on Amazon Prime. During the past year he was in charge of writing two series for Viacom. During the pandemic he directed the streaming play "The Lucy Prebble Love Effect", being one of the most recognized plays in this new modality. He recently finished directing "Bunker", a comedy series for HBOMax that premiered at the end of 2021. He is currently working on a series for Telemundo as showrunner, executive producer and director and in the development of a feature film for Tiger House.
