Jimena Gallardo / Writer

Jimena studied Human Sciences at the Claustro de Sor Juana, and screenwriting at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC). She has worked for Netflix, HBOmax, TV Azteca, Televisa, Canal Once, National Geographic, Food Networks and Warner. She is the creator, executive producer and writer of the fiction series "Crónica de Castas", directed by Daniel Giménez Cacho, which was broadcast to great critical and audience acclaim on Canal Once and Netflix, and premiered in the United States on NBC Universo.

Adapted the Argentinean series "La Chica que Limpia" for HBOmax. He wrote the documentary "Teotihuacán Misterios del Inframundo", which won the award for best screenplay "Pantalla de Cristal". Collaborated in the development and writing of the second season of the series "Ingobernable". He wrote the miniseries "Los Niños de Morelia", co-produced by Dopamine Content and Plano a Plano (Spain). As well as "El Diario de Frida", for Miracol (Colombia); and "La Anatomista" and "Kept", for Campanario Entertainment (USA). He is currently in post-production on the documentary series "Cámaras entre Balas", about eight prominent international war correspondents, produced by HBOmax and Ancine (Brazil).

Finished writing the film "The Killing of a Nation", an international production, a project directed by Oscar nominee and three-time Emmy winner Carlos Bolado. She is currently writing a series for Paramount, and is developing two more series with producer Leopoldo Gout (Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich, Molly's Game). Jimena is an active member of the Writers Guild of America West. The series she co-adapted, "Like Water for Chocolate" for Warner premieres in 2024.
