Augusto Mendoza / Writer

He studied at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. After graduating, he wrote 9 episodes of the first season of "Familia P. Luche" with Eugenio Derbez. In 2010 he co-wrote the screenplay for the film "Abel" with Diego Luna, a project that won them the Ariel for Best Original Screenplay.

In 2012 he wrote the screenplay for the animated film "El Santos vs la Tetona Mendoza", based on the characters Jis and Trino. In 2014 he co-wrote with Diego Luna the movie "Mr. Pig", starring Danny Glover and Maya Rudolph. He wrote 6 episodes of the series "El Vato" for NBC Universo from 2015 to 2016, Emmy Award winning series for Best Primetime Non-English Speaking Program. In 2019 he also wrote three episodes of the second season of the Netflix original series "Diablero". In the same year, "Chicuarotes", a film written by him and directed by Gael García, premieres at the Cannes Film Festival.

He was part of the room for the series premiering in 2021 "Todo va a estar bien" and also developed the series "Belascorán", both for Netflix. He is currently working on the series "The Gringo Hunters" for Netflix and another one for the production company Propagate.
