Ari Brickman

Born in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas.

Actor by profession with experience in film, theater and television; born musician, composer and singer-songwriter. He is a graduate of director Abraham Oceransky's Estudio T Theater School, as well as Lorena García's Acting Workshop at the International Actor's Center, and Juan Carlos Corazza's Studio in Madrid, Spain.

His work in television includes the series "Capadocia" (Argos Comunicación); "El Encanto del Águila" (Televisa); "El Señor de los Cielos", "El Chema" (Telemundo); "Sr. Ávila" (HBO); "Sense8 ", "Historia de un Crimen: Colosio" (Netflix); "Sitiados: México" (FOX); "Señorita 89" (Universal+) and "Como agua para chocolate" (MAX).

In film, he has been part of titles such as "Cinco días sin Nora" (Dir. Mariana Chenillo), winner of the Ariel Award for Best Film (2010); "Revolución" (Dir. M. Chenillo/A. Escalante/F. Eimbcke), presented at the Venice International Film Festival (2010); "No se aceptan devoluciones" (Dir. Eugenio Derbez), one of the highest grossing films in Mexican cinema; "El Complot Mongol" (Dir. Sebastián del Amo), co-starring with Damián Alcázar; "Todo lo Invisible" (Dir. Mariana Chenillo), a film in which he starred and for which he was also screenwriter and songwriter; and "La Caída" (Dir. Lucía Puenzo), winner of the International Emmy for Best Television Movie or Miniseries (2023).

In theater, he received awards from the Asociación Mexicana de Críticos de Teatro (AMCT) in the category of Best Co-Acting for "Opiniones de un Payaso", as well as Best Young Actor, for the plays "Las historias que se cuentan los hermanos siameses". He has also worked under the direction of figures such as Martín Acosta, José Caballero, Ignacio Ortíz, Abraham Oceransky and Claudio Valdés Kuri.
