Antonia Zegers

Antonia Zegers is an actress graduated from Fernando Meza's School and has developed a vast professional career in television, theater and film. She participated in series of TVN (National Television of Chile) that marked milestones, such as: "Iorana" (1998), "La Fiera" (1999), "Romané" (2000), "Pampa Ilusión" (2001), "El Circo de las Montini" (2002) and "Los Pincheira" (2004), among others. At the same time, in theater, he has been part of renowned productions such as: "Provincia Kapital", "Pecados", "Madre", "Numancia" and "Fin del eclipse". In 2010 and 2011 she was part of the cast of the successful series "Prófugos" of HBO and in 2013 of "Secretos en el Jardín" of Canal 13.

Since the beginning of her career, she has had an outstanding incursion in cinema, which began with the film "En tu casa a las 8" (1995), directed by Christine Lucas. From there, she has been part of acclaimed films directed by renowned directors Pablo Matías Bize, such as: "Sábado" (2003), "Tony Manero" (2008), "La vida de los peces" (2015) "La Memoria del Agua" and by Pablo Larraín such as: "Post Morten" (2010), "No" (2012) starring alongside Gael Garcia Bernal, "El Club" (2015), and "Sin Filtro" (2015). In May 2017, her starring role in the film "Los Perros", by filmmaker Marcela Said, earned her praise from international critics when it was presented at the Cannes Film Festival.

Numerous publications praised her work. Among them, the Hollywood Reporter, highlighted Antonia's work in her role as Mariana. The prestigious media pointed out that: "Said deals with the issues through Mariana's "high-burning personality (...) Zegers, who plays her with more energy than Julia Louis-Dreyfus on a rushed day, explodes through a thicket of male condescension and criminality". In addition to "Los Perros", the actress adds to her projects: "No estoy loca" by Nicolás Lopez, "Tarde para morir joven" by Dominga Sotomayor, "Una mujer fabtástica" and "Hoten Zentai"; adding up to more than twenty films in her film career, which make her one of the most outstanding actresses in Chilean cinema today. In her career she has several awards such as:
2015: Fenix Ibero-American Film Award in MExico. Nominated for her film El Club by Pablo Larrain.
2015: Chicago International Film Festival in USA. Winner for Best Cast of The Club.
2016: Platinum Award in Punta del Este Uruguay. Nominated for Best Actress for The Club.
2016: Received recognition at the TRIBECA NYC festival as Best Actress Performer for Pablo Larrain's The Club.
