Angie Cepeda

Colombian actress who, thanks to her poise, beauty and talent, enjoys today a place in the entertainment industry, both in her country and in Latin America and Europe.

She began to study Communication but decided to follow her artistic passion, starting as a model for different brands, and later began her formal training as an actress.

She debuted as an actress in Colombian television, with projects such as "La Maldición del Paraíso", which would earn her the India Catalina Award as Revelation of the Year (1994); "Crónicas de una Generación Trágica" (Televideo); "Candela" (Caracol); and later being part of titles that would consolidate her as a solid promise of the scene inside and outside her country, highlighting "Luz María"; "Las Juanas", with which she would receive the India Catalina Award for Best Leading Actress in a Telenovela; "Pobre Diabla"; "Vientos de agua", a series by Juan José Campanella; "Pablo Escobar: El Patrón del Mal", by Telemundo; "Jane the Virgin", the American production; "2091", accompanied by Damián Alcázar and Manolo Cardona; and "Halo", filmed in Canada.

Her first works in cinema were as part of "Ilona llega con la lluvia" (Dir. Sergio Cabrera); "Pantaleón y las visitadoras" (Dir. Francisco J. Lombardi), in which she starred; "Leyenda de Fuego" (Dir. Roberto Lázaro) and "Samy y yo" (Dir. Eduardo Milewicz), sharing credits with Ricardo Darín.

By 2003 he managed to break into the European market with the Italian film "Il Paradiso All' Improvviso" (Dir. Leonardo Pieraccioni), and would continue adding more titles to his filmography such as "Love for Rent" (Dir. Shane Edelman), a Colombia-USA co-production; "The Dead One" (Dir. Brian Cox), starring Wilmer Valderrama; "Love in the Time of Cholera" (Dir. Mike Newell), with Javier Bardem; "Elvira, te daría mi vida pero la estoy usando" (Dir. Manolo Caro); "A Night In Old Mexico" (Dir. Emilio Aragón), where he worked with Robert Duvall; as well as "Una hora más en Canarias" (Dir. David Serrano), "Heleno: O Príncipe Maldito" (Dir. José Henrique Fonseca), "La semilla del silencio" (Dir. Gilberto Martínez Solares) and "Dime lo que quieres (de verdad)" (Dir. Bruno Ascenso), films in which he stars.

In 2024 she was awarded the India Catalina International Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her acting legacy.
