Amorita Rasgado

Actress originally from Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. Since she was a child she showed interest in art and acting, a fact that contributed to her joining the Tehuantepec Theater Group. Later, she moved to Mexico City to study with Ludwik Margules at the Foro de Arte Contemporáneo, as well as at the Centro Universitario de Teatro (CUT) of the UNAM and at the School Creative Institute of Vancouver, Canada.

He has developed his career mainly in the film industry, being part of projects such as "El Violín" (Dir. Francisco Vargas), "El Traspatio" (Dir. Carlos Carrera), "Restos" (Dir. Alfonso Pineda Ulloa), "Elvira, te daría mi vida pero la estoy usando" (Dir. Manolo Caro), "Una última y nos vamos" (Dir. Noé Santillán-López), "Los trapos sucios se travan casa" (Dir. Diego Muñoz) and "Welcome to Welcome to the World" (Dir. Diego Muñoz). Manolo Caro), "Una última y nos vamos" (Dir. Noé Santillán-López), "Los trapos sucios se lavan en casa" (Dir. Diego Muñoz) and "Welcome al Norte" (Dir. Gustavo Loza), among others, thus widely exploring his acting range between drama and comedy.

She has also been involved in television projects, participating in productions such as "Capadocia" (Argos Comunicación), "El Dandy" (Televisa), "El Colapso" (ViX+), "Doctora Lucía" (TV Azteca) and starring in "Las Azules" (Apple TV+).

Amorita has been actively involved in bringing art to the indigenous communities of Oaxaca. In her acting role on stage, she has returned to the theater as part of "Emilia", by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm produced by MIO Projects, which had its premiere at the Helénico Theater. Prior to this work, she was part of "Las Aventuras de Frida", by Fer Bati, Conchi León and Alonzo Mercado, with a season at the Nuevo Teatro Silvia Pinal.
